Letter P Preschool Activities

Are you looking for Letter P Preschool Activities? You have come to the right place! Our activities, art, crafts, and centers come to life as we learn all about the Letter P! We laugh our way through The Pig’s Picnic from Scholastic Alphatales and learn to write our Letter P with P.K. the Professor searching for pronunciations!  The main focus in our classroom is pumpkins and patterns. Our favorite part of Letter P Week is going on our field trip to the Pumpkin Patch and exploring a real Pumpkin Farm! We hope we may inspire you as a parent, preschool or kindergarten teacher with our pics and videos below!

Check out some of our favorite snacks for Letter P: pancakes, Pops Cereal & Pretzel Sticks. We love snacks that we can manipulate into letters! Pumpkins made from tangelos are super fun, too!
Here is a sneak peek of our literacy, math, science and sensory centers!
We use torn paper to create our TLC Pumpkins! Tearing paper is a fine motor skill that is very hard for some preschoolers and kindergarteners to grasp. We sing a chant as we pinch our paper: “one towards me and one toward you.” This helps our kids visualize the directions to rip, not pull. VIDEO COMING SOON!

We love tying what we’re teaching to home & community! Therefore, we love our annual field trip to The Pumpkin Farm where we get to ride on a tractor through the pumpkin fields, see lots of animals, walk through a huge corn maze, slide on the biggest slides, climb huge haystacks and if we dare…. enter the Haunted Barn!
